A Public Apology

The following is an apology to readers, subscribers, all concerned  Editors, any persons that have been harmed and to the Search Engines affected.

I wrote an article called "A Business Guide for the Very New Internet Entrepreneur" that I made the mistake of releasing with a slightly different title : "An Internet Marketing Guide for the Very Newbie."

I posted a tip that was offered as a way to increase visibility when posting to the Forums. The tip concerned using your website's name as the username for posting at the boards.

To All:

After a few days of using the tip I noticed my Search Engine listings started to suffer greatly. I realized what was happening whenever I posted at the Forums:

(A) No matter what subject matter I posted, it appeared as related to The Newbie Business Guide. Heck, I could have posted a comment about my dogs and it would then appear as somehow connected to my website business.

(B) My website is quite young and doesn't have much Page Rank; the majority of the Forums I submitted to rank much higher. In consequence, the postings had the effect of burying my website under a pile of self inflicted Spam.

I've spent the last half week doing damage control. I've approached as many Editors and website owners as I could to inform them of the callous and poisonous nature of the tip. I've emailed the few websites where the article remains in its original; perhaps at the start of next week it will be amended or removed.

To Editors:

If I have damaged your readers, your reputation and credibility with the actions mentioned, I do apologize!

I do know I submitted articles with the same content and under different titles; mistakes do happen. I accept full responsibility and I offer you my deepest regrets.

To The Search Engines:

I realize my postings have had the unintended effect of inserting confusion into many of the listings related to my website, The Newbie Business Guide. I accept responsibility for that and will do better in the future.

To the well known Internet Marketer that gave me the tip:

This is not to apologize but to congratulate you! Yes, your poisonous tip did what you wanted it to do! Your take-no-prisoners approach worked very well; indeed!

Other than the above, I don't have much more to say about you!
The true nature of your actions speaks volumes about you and your character.
