Prepare to Promote Your
Website
There are a couple of items that will make
your life so much easier as you prepare to promote your website.
From my own experience I can tell these items are so essential I
don't know what I'd do without them.
Password Manager
The first thing you're going to need to promote your website is
a password, form filler and URL manager. The reason is that just
about every place you go to on the Web will want registration
information. Forget about doing it manually!To give you an
example:
I must have about 300 different accounts I use to promote my
website. Places I go to publish articles, run ads, participate
in Forums, etc If I had to enter all 300 addresses,
usernames and passwords by hand, it would be a nightmare!
The password and URL manager I use is
RoboForm. It
has most of the functions you'll need to access your accounts
with a minimum of fuzz.
As an added bonus, it's fully encrypted and your sensitive
information will be safe. Once you enter your info into
RoboForm,
it will not be available to Trojans or key loggers.
BTW, it's also a form filler and once you set it up, forget
about ever filling out another form manually. One of the
main features I like is that it has fields you can create and
adapt to any form.
Macro Text Utility
The second essential item you'll need is a macro text
replacement utility. Don't let the name scare you away because
it's a very simple utility to use.
While you are promoting your website there will be lots of
instances when you'll need the very same repetitive text.
Instead of having to type it each time, the little utility does
it for you!
All you have to do is pick a function key or a trigger word
and assign it each instance of repeated text and viola! Done
deal!
